It's super easy and incredibly delicious! Perfect as a snack, appetizer, or an extra dish. It's a big hit in our home. I learned this recipe from a friend and added my own twist to suit my taste. It's a nostalgic, budget-friendly recipe I often made when I was living alone and short on money.

Ingredients

1 serving
  1. 1medium potato
  2. 1-2 tablespoonsParmesan cheese
  3. Salt and pepper to taste
  4. Parsley, basil, oregano, etc., to taste

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Peel the potato and cut it into thin strips (using a slicer makes it easier). Put it in a bowl, sprinkle generously with salt and pepper, mix, and let it sit for about 5 minutes. (The starch from the potato will act as a binder.) If you're short on time, you can skip the waiting.

  2. 2

Add plenty of Parmesan cheese, sprinkle with parsley, oregano, basil, etc., and mix together. Then, it's ready to cook!

  3. 3

Add olive oil to a frying pan and heat it up. Add the potato mixture, flatten it into a round shape, and cook. (Use medium to high heat.) Once it browns, flip it over and cook until both sides are golden brown. It's ready to serve!
