Ingredients

  1. 200-300 glotus root
  2. 1 cup★all-purpose flour
  3. 1★egg
  4. as needed★cold water
  5. 1 pinch★sugar
  6. as neededall-purpose flour
  7. as neededvegetable oil
  8. Recipe ID: 19311727 soba dipping sauce (tempura sauce)

Cooking Instructions

    Peel the lotus root and slice it into 1cm thick rounds. Soak in lightly vinegared water for about 5 minutes, then change the water and pat dry.

    Put all-purpose flour and lotus root in a plastic bag and lightly coat the lotus root with flour.

    Mix the ★ ingredients to make tempura batter. Dip the lotus root slices in the batter and fry in oil heated to 360°F (180°C).

    Serve on a plate and enjoy with salt or tempura dipping sauce.
