Ingredients

  1. 1 largeOnion (Thinly Sliced)
  2. 1 largeRed Bell Pepper (Thinly Sliced)
  3. 1 largeGreen Bell Pepper (Thinly Sliced)
  4. 3 lb90% Lean Shaved Steak
  5. 2 tbspOil
  6. 3 tbspNon-fat Butter
  7. 1Salt and Pepper to taste
  8. 2 loafCuban/ Italian extra large
  9. 10 sliceSwiss Cheese
  10. 4 cloveMinced Garlic

Cooking Instructions

    In large pan saute peppers, onions, and garlic in oil for 5 minutes on high heat

  2. 2

    Add shaved steak, salt and pepper, stir frequently until steak is cooked all the way through

  3. 3

    Pre-heat Oven to 350°

  4. 4

    Add butter, stir and cover for 5 more minutes and remove from heat

  5. 5

    Drain steak from pan

  6. 6

    Slice bread from side to about half way through and butterfly open

  7. 7

    Place steak mixture on bread, add cheese and put in oven until cheese is melted

  8. 8

    Remove, cut into 6-8 servings, (add Banana Peppers if desired, serve and enjoy)

I prefer whiz on my steak, Swiss is for rubens.... but I'm a Philly girl so...and best meat to use is rib eye, lean & shredded. Throw some ketchup on after & do the Philly lean...
