Cooking Instructions
- 1
In a pre-heated saucepan put ur butter & sugar on low to med heat.
- 2
Stir this mixture for 10 to 13 min, until a golden light brown color. The mixture will start to look stringy when ready. (I have no idea what the temp is suppose to read on thermometer)
- 3
Just to make sure it's ready to pour, at this stage I will drop a little of the mixture into ice cold water and taste to feel the texture.
- 4
The chewy texture in the middle needs to be gone. It needs to b crunchy.
- 5
Remember to keep stirring!!! Also do not burn or scorch the mixture
- 6
When ready pour mixture onto a cookie sheet covered with foil & spread to about 1/4 inch thick
- 7
If u would like to add choc & nuts do this now. Start by pouring choc on, let it sit for a few sec to melt. then spread evenly over candy. While choc is still wet sprinkle on the nuts. Apply a little pressure on top to help nuts stick into the choc when it's dry.
- 8
Let it chill for a few min the u can stick it in the fridge for 5 or 10 min. Then Crack it up and enjoy : )

Cute Candy Cookies Cute Candy Cookies
I saw a cookie with a candy window on a TV show awhile ago. I thought if it could be made with a black cocoa cookie, it'd make for a nice contrast and be really cute, so I gave it a shot. When I put the candy in before baking the cookie dough would become smashed or stick to the candy and it was quite difficult. So I changed the procedure to add the candy during the middle of baking.Try to fill in the gaps with smashed candy bits as much as possible. The baking may differ depending on your household oven, so adjust the temperature and baking time as necessary. If the temperature is too hot, the candy may burn. It might be a good idea to have candy bits left over when baking so you can fill in any gaps. For the candy, I use orange and pineapple flavored Sakuma drops. Recipe by yotiko cookpad.japan -
