In the husk. What could be easier. Wash or soak an ear of corn in the husk, trim end and tassel if too big to fit your microwave, cook 1 minute per 2” of length, 3 to 5 minutes. Hold with kitchen towel, peel and serve.

We save the cooked husks, and dry them to make tamales.

2 persons, half cob each
  1. 1 earcorn in the husk
  2. Equipment: microwave, tape measure
  3. Cost: farm free or 50 cents

Cooking Instructions

    Wash, rinse or soak ear of corn in bucket with water.

    Trim ends if ear of corn is too big to turn in your microwave

  3. 3

    Cook 1 minute per 2” in length, 3 to 5 minutes. Wrap in kitchen towel, peel the husk. Serve the ear of corn whole or snap in half, enjoy.
