  1. 1large onion, chopped
  2. 1celery rib, chopped
  3. 1/4 cupbutter
  4. 1/2 cupall-purpose flour
  5. 4 cupchicken broth
  6. 3 cupcooked rice
  7. 1 cupcooked cubed chicken
  8. 1/4 tspsalt
  9. 1/4 tspground black pepper
  10. 1 cupevaporated milk
  11. pinchof parsley

Cooking Instructions

    In a large saucepan, saute the onion and celery in butter until tender

    Stir in flour until well blended

  3. 3

    Gradually add chicken broth

  4. 4

    Stir in rice, chicken, salt and pepper

  5. 5

    Bring to a boil over medium heat; cook and stir until thickened. Stir in evaporated milk. Cook about another 5 minutes

    Stir in parsley

  7. 7
