Ingredients: 1/2 cup Butter or margarine (stick); 1 lb Sifted confectioners sugar; 4 tbsp Milk or water; 1 tsp Vanilla extract; 1/2 cup Solid vegetable shortening

To make.it into chocolate, add cocoa while mixing, just a little at a time till desire taste B-)

1/2 cupButter or margarine (stick)

4 tbspMilk or water
1 tspVanilla extract
1/2 cupSolid vegetable shortening

Cooking Instructions

Cream shorting and butter

Add suger, vanilla, and milk/water(just a little at a time to desire thickness)

Blend on medium until mixed well
4

Blend an additional minute till creamy
5

Yields 3 cups stiff frosting

I love buttercream frosting, so I went looking for a recipe. Again, I am picky, so I combined a few different recipes that I found. After a few tries, I decided that this one was my favorite.I made this to go on cupcakes for Mother's Day. My wife, my mommy, my sister, and Mother-in-Law loved it so much.This can be used to make different kinds of frosting. Next time, I will add some cocoa powder for chocolate frosting.Enjoy!
