In a bowl take the besan.

Add half tspn salt to it.

Then add half tspn red chilli powder.

Add water and make the batter.

See the consistency of the batter.

It should be little bit thick.

Now on the other side take a bowl and mash all the potatoes.

Add salt, red chilli powder, dhania powder, hing, chopped coriander leaves and green chilli to it.

Mix it very well.

There should not be any lumps in it.

Now make the balls of it.

Heat the oil.

Dip the balls into the batter and leave it in the oil.

Deep fry it.

When it gets brown and crispy, it is done.

Serve these batata vada with ketchup or chutney.
