Crockpot beef stew my way. Crockpot beef stew my way.
Decided dinner was going to be whatever I cooked in the crockpot tonite, so I rummaged around the pantry and fridge. This is the first time I ever added diced tomato or kidney beans to a beef stew. WOW! I surprised myself with how well it came out and tasted. lokiclv -
Curry-Not-Curry Chicken Breasts Stew with Potatoes Curry-Not-Curry Chicken Breasts Stew with Potatoes
I had a bit of ginger, lemongrass and green onions left and loads of curry powder so, what did I do? I modified it to make a non-spicy curry-sort-of. The tangy stew can be served with a fragrant rice and side vegetables for just about any meal of the day. Well, maybe not breakfast? XD It's great for people who likes something to perk up their taste buds but don't really relish the idea of eating TOO SPICY food. Great balance between sweet, salty and spicy. Marsha M -

Greek Yogurt Butter Chicken Stew Greek Yogurt Butter Chicken Stew
Got this recipe from NYT Cooking when I was feeling a little adventurous (don't know what to cook, more like). It's savory and although reminds me of curry, it is not spicy at all. Goes great with rice. There are a lot of ingredients on the list so, adjust to suit taste. There's no sugar in original article, I just like to make a little sweeter) Marsha M -

I could make something up, but I won't. This soup takes some time. This is an evolving recipe. Regardless, the base is the same, and every iteration is BadAss. And I've no clue about servings. I'm a bachelor, so I cook in bulk and freeze. John -
Tender Beef Shank Stew Tender Beef Shank Stew
I made this dish before, but I didn't make up a recipe for it. So I decided to make a proper one this time. This is my husband's favorite dish! This stew is very rich because you only use red wine to cook it.If you don't like the sourness of red wine, add water in Step 6 as shown.
