This is a dessert I have made since my children were small. I came up with it as I went. You can also garnish it with Pocky sticks, cookies, or wafers. Make it with your favorite toppings. It's also delicious with bananas.Step 1: The custard cream is light on sugar. Adjust to taste.Step 4: Use three 3 cm pieces of sponge cake. Use 1/2 of a recipe worth of custard cream. I wanted a fruity but rich dessert to serve at a Fourth of July barbecue. I have a big family and always make dishes with many servings. I knew the size of this recipe would fill the glass dish to the brim. So instead of layering the vanilla wafer cookies in the recipe, I just served them on the side.

This is a dessert that's made with bananas and chocolate sauce. I often made this when my children were small. This is a variation off the "Chocolate Banana Tart",.It's also good without the custard. Make it however you like.For Step 1, let the custard cream cool, then chill well before use. This custard cream isn't so sweet so please adjust the amount of sugar according to your taste.For Step 2, I used 3 pieces of sponge cake cut into 3 cm cubes.You can drizzle the chocolate sauce over the granola as well.
