Cooking Instructions

Place the flour in a bowl and create a circle at the center.

Add some water, cooking oil,salt, sugar and the cup of milk.

Add a little more oil and knead well. Cover the dough and leave it to stand for about 15 minutes.

Place the dough on a rolling board. Spread it using the rolling pink to a satisfying size. Cut parallel like in the photo

Roll the cut pieces to form a rings.
- 6
Pre heat the pan and roll the chapattis and cook on low heat.

Serve your chapatis hot with some stew. For me I served them with a green peas and potatoes.

#joy... Roti is a compulsory food items of our daily meals .. It's made up of wheat and very good for health.. In my family we use to eat roti in lunch as well as dinner and we eat whole wheat flour (chakki ka Atta) for roties as it's healthy and it's remains soft... I made roti for the first time when I was 15 years old but unfortunately it was a bad experience but everyone appreciate me for that roti 😀but now is can make a perfect roti 😍... Tip:for making a good roti it's dough must be not to much soft and not too much hard so it should be medium so you can make a perfect roti out of it...

We use red flour to make rotis and chapatis. I was not perfect in making roti before i married.. But learnt this technique from my mil that if you want to make perfect roti then you should not use too much water for kneading the dough and not to cook on a low medium flame. #joy

#joyMaking roti is one of the toughest job for me. But with my mother's tip making puffed and soft roti is not difficult. Make soft dough, rest for 1/2 hr after covering with damp cloth, roll thin roti with thin edges as well and apply less dry flour. After considering these things roti will be puffed up and become soft.

#joy.My mother’s told me ever (tip) if you make a soft roti then you can add 1 teasp of ghee/ butter/ oil any type of oil you can use at home and a pinch of pink/ white regular salt it makes a very fluffy, light and soft roti so I think I can share with my followers and friends but my roti is not round in its shape but its soo soft in its taste.

#joyRoti making is an art and it may sound as simple as roz ki chapati banana but it is not that easy. After many trials and errors before and after shaadi,I can now make it for my son at least :) I learnt some of it from my mom,but more from my Ammi(MIL) after shaadi.Her tip is to knead a firm dough with gradual addition of water and let it rest,to make it soft add oil too. Also she uses straight tawa and less khushki while rolling the roti. In winters,knead it with slightly warm water.
