Making roti is one of the toughest job for me. But with my mother's tip making puffed and soft roti is not difficult. Make soft dough, rest for 1/2 hr after covering with damp cloth, roll thin roti with thin edges as well and apply less dry flour. After considering these things roti will be puffed up and become soft.

Cooking Instructions

Add whole wheat flour in a bowl

Add water bit by bit till soft dough formed

Knead nicely for 3-5 minutes

Cover with damp cloth and rest for half hour.

Make small balls of desired size

Flatten one ball by hand first than rolled by rolling pin

Apply dry flour as needed and roll very thin evenly from edges as well

Then put on pre heated skillet and turn the side once dough color changed

After that cook other side as well little bit

Then flip again cook on high heat from edges and cook by moving from all the sides. Flip again if needed

Puffed roti is ready
