Sweet Soy Sauce Minced Pork
#mycookbookI am a porridge ‘super’ big fan since I was a kid. My mom always cooked me plain porridge with different kinds of side dishes at least 2-3 times a month. This Sweet Soy Sauce Minced Pork is one of the ‘must’ menus every time she made porridge. It doesn’t use a lot of various ingredients but it’s very flavorful 😋😋😋 If you like my recipes, please follow my Instagram @jenscookingdiary for the Indonesian recipes or @jenscookdineandtravel for the English recipes 🙏🏻😊😘

Authentic Pork Rice Bowl with Sweet and Savory Sauce
My husband is from Hokkaido. When his parents came for a visit, we wanted to serve them pork donburi rice bowls, but we were out of our favorite Tokachi pork donburi rice bowl sauce! So, we made it from ingredients we had on hand. The sweet and salty sauce turned out delicious and we were totally satisfied. There are many restaurants that use thick pork loin, so it's okay to use that instead. I prefer the juiciness of thinly sliced pork belly. When adding the pork to the sauce, stir lightly while it simmers to keep the pork tender; if the heat is too strong, the pork will become tough. Add as much onion as you like. Recipe by Hachan mama

Pork, Egg, and Komatsuna Stir-Fry with Sweet Sauce
Achieved 8,000 reviews☆ This sweet sauce clings to the pork and eggs, giving it a restaurant-quality taste! There's a trick to the flavor☆ It's healthy with the addition of crunchy komatsuna♬The origin of this recipeI adapted the taste of a pork and egg stir-fry from a restaurant I frequented during my student days for home cooking. Instead of deep-frying, I use the microwave.

Chicken & Pork Meatballs! Sweet and Sour Sauce
I saw some ground chicken breast on sale! Chicken has a pretty light flavor to it, so when I decided to change half of the meat to pork, I ended up with especially tasty meatballs! This meaty and hearty dish lets you enjoy the taste of chicken without the greasiness of an all-pork recipe. If you like your meatballs chock-full of meat, reduce the amount of onions. If your onion seems to be on the watery side, make sure to squeeze the moisture out after chopping. After pouring the sauce onto the meatballs, simmer well to get rid of the acidity from the ketchup and vinegar. These are also good without doubanjiang! Done in 15 Minutes! Crunchy Pork and Eggplant with Sweet-Salty Sauce
I didn't have a lot of ingredients on hand, so I just pan fried what I had until crispy-crunchy and added some other things to make the dish look more voluminous (and to fool everyone). The crispy texture combined with the sauce is terrific! You can dust the pork and eggplant with the katakuriko potato starch flour through a tea strainer, toss in a bowl, or coat in a plastic bag. Just shake off any excess starch before frying (or it will absorb too much oil). For 2 to 3 servings. Recipe by HaradaKiTN

Easy Meatballs in Sweet and Sour Sauce
I used to include onions in these, but when I started to focus on their softness, I ended up with this recipe. The water that you mix into the meat is pretty key in producing soft, fluffy meatballs!Using katakuriko starch powder gives the sauce a thick texture! These meatballs turn out great not only with ground pork but even with other ground meats or minced chicken. Just halve the amount of egg if you're planning on using minced chicken, because chicken naturally has more moisture to begin with. Recipe by Fumecchi

Atsuage and Ground Pork in Sweet and Spicy Sukiyaki Sauce
I like fried tofu deeply marinated in sukiyaki sauce . I thought up a recipe where the sukiyaki sauce played a supporting role to the leading tofu using age. Both the atsuage and ground pork already have plenty of oil, so let them cook in their own grease without adding oil. This will also help reduce the calories a little! Recipe by Poron526

Easy Pork Tenderloin Karaage with Sweet and Spicy Sauce

Potato Dumplings with Sweet & Savory Sauce
I received potatoes from Hokkaido, so I made these. In Step 1, soak the potato in a bowl of water briefly before cooking! In Step 4, cook the dumplings until they are slightly browned. Sweet and Sour Pork Style Meatballs with Thick Sweet-Vinegar Sauce
I don't like sweet and sour pork made with deep fried pork, so at some point I started using easy to make meatballs instead. I've also settled on this light soy sauce flavored sauce rather than the usual ketchup flavored one.*Adjust the amount of meatballs you add to taste.*By mixing the katakuriko with the flavoring ingredients beforehand, you can prevent lumps from forming in the sauce. Yum! Sweet and Sour Pork Style Meatballs in Sweet Vinegar Ankake Sauce
A friend of mine told me that they fry leftover hamburger meat mixture and serve it coated with sweet vinegar ankake sauce, so I fried the leftover meat mixture from meat-stuffed peppers and turned them into sweet-and-sour pork style meatballs. The green peppers will change color if you add them in too early, so it is better to cut them up finely and then add them in later. It also tastes great if you add in shiitake mushrooms, bamboo shoots, and quail eggs. The katakuriko will sink to the bottom of the combined flavoring ingredients, so be sure to mix it up again before adding it to the pan. For 3 servings. Recipe by Hamumaki

Sweet Potatoes with Butter Soy Sauce
New potatoes have a light flavor, so I thought they might go well with butter and soy sauce and I created this recipe. My potato loving daughter loves these.Be sure to dry out the boiled potatoes in the pan until they're covered with a fine coating of potato flour before adding the butter and soy sauce. By evaporating any excess water, the flavors will blend better. The skins of new potatoes are delicious too, so wash them well and eat them whole. This recipe is delicious with regular potatoes too!
