Just Layer On Top And Bake! Easy Open * Apple Pie

I came up with this idea when I was making a sugared butter bread. I could shorten the time to make the filling and enjoy the pie easily. I wanted to make this open pie for a long time so when I saw the pie baked nicely, I was impressed.
Note: When you sprinkle granulated sugar on the pie, sprinkle it evenly just on the apples. Try not to sprinkle sugar on the puff pastry, if possible. For 2 pies. Recipe by Banyangarden
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Preheat the oven to 410F/210C in advance.
- 2
Slice the apple thinly vertically into about 5mm thickness. Cut off the seed and core of the apple (like the photo).
- 3
Cut the parts without seeds and core into half.
- 4
Take out frozen puff pastry from the freezer and keep it in room temperature for about 5 minutes.
- 5
Poke holes with a fork in the puff pastry. Note: If there are already holes punctured on the puff pastry, you do not have to do this.
- 6
Use half of the cut apples for 1 puff pastry and line the apples placed on one another like the picture. Repeat the same process for the other puff pastry too.
- 7
Line the pie on a baking pan with parchment paper.
- 8
Sprinkle granulated sugar on the apples. Note: Use an amount to your liking, but it's good even with just a pinch of sugar. Adjust the amount of sugar depending on how sweet the apple is.
- 9
Cut butter into thin sticks and lay it on the apple slices.
- 10
Brush egg yolk on the puff pastry. Note: You don't have to brush the egg yolk on the apple !
- 11
Bake it in a 410F/210C oven for 10 minutes. Then lower the oven degree to 350F/180C degree and bake for another 10 minutes and it is done!
- 12
It would also be good if you sprinkle cinnamon sugar to finish. Enjoy it as you like ~
- 13
The final product is quite big so cut it into a size which is easier to eat and enjoy.
- 14
Variation: Banana Pie.

Changing the oven temperature halfway through is also key! This filling makes a light apple pie. If you want to make an apple pie with plenty of filling, increase the amount. Easy Apple Pie with Frozen Puff Pastry Easy Apple Pie with Frozen Puff Pastry
You may have seen a recipe like this a long time ago, but this is the apple pie my mother used to make when I was a child. Now it's what I like to make for my own family.Basically, it's foolproof, since you use frozen puff pastry. If I were to suggest anything, it would be to make sure the apple filling isn't watery, and not to put too much in or it will leak out. If it leaks out, it will burn and the pastry won't puff. About 20 years ago, I learned from an acquaintance that you can make apple pie without making the filling using raw apples. That was the start of this recipe. If you use raw apples as-is, they exude water, which makes the puff pastry soggy. Thus, after a lot of trial and error, I came to this recipe. The panko absorb the moisture that comes out of the apples. The butter adds richness. I use dried panko. Oh, How Easy! Country Style Oven Baked Apple Pie Oh, How Easy! Country Style Oven Baked Apple Pie
I received a frozen puff pastry, so I made this simple apple pie. But since I don't really like mushy apples, I came up with a lightly baked apple pie that resembles the texture of baked apples. When scoring the edges, be careful not to cut through the pastry. Just lightly glide the knife over the surface of the pastry. The amounts for the ingredients are approximate. It will turn out delicious without much precision, so give it a try. For 1 puff pastry worth. Recipe by SOL* cookpad.japan
