Chana Masala

For 8 hours soak chana (chickpeas) in water.

Now in a pressure cooker pour water and transfer the soaked chana, add salt, turmeric powder and baking soda. Cook till 8 whistles blow on medium flame.

Now in another Pan heat oil add cumin seeds, cinnamon stick, bay leaves and crushed garlic cloves roast them for few seconds then add chopped onions cook them till they turn translucent.

Add tomato puree in it and add all the spices, mix them and cook it till it starts living oil we can cover it and cook it on simmer gas.

Onces the gravy is cooked perfectly, mix it with chana and cook for few minutes more.

Serve hot and spicy masala chana with rice or Paratha.
