Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 3medium sized potatoes
  2. 2 tbspcornflour
  3. 1/2 tspcumin powder
  4. 1/2 tspcoriander powder
  5. 1/2 tspred chilli powder
  6. To tasteSalt
  7. 1 tspginger paste
  8. 1generous pinch of black pepper powder
  9. 1green chilli chopped finely
  10. 2 tbspcoriander leaves chopped finely
  11. 1/4 cupgrated cheese
  12. 2 tbspoil for shallow fry

Cooking Instructions

    First rinse the potatoes and pressure cook them till they are completely cooked. Drain the excess water and allow them to cool completely. Once they are cooled down grate them and add all the ingredients except grated cheese and oil. And mix everything very well.

    Grab a handful of the mixture and roll into a rough ball shape, place grated cheese in the center and wrap the mixture around it. Form it into a aloo tikki shape. Set aside.

    Heat oil in a tava till it's medium hot. Gently place the tikkis and pan fry them. Flip the tikkis for a couple of times till the tikkis become golden and crispy evenly.

    Once done drain the aloo tikkis on a paper towel to remove excess oil and serve hot with salad and tomato ketchup.
