Based on a David Lebovitz recipe.Buy the best milk, cream, and coffee you can afford. We splurge on High Lawn Farm milk and cream, and fresh eggs from a local farm. Get a pound of great whole bean coffee, store the unused portion in an airtight container in a cool place.

After enjoying some hot chocolate, I came up with this recipe. I've had this dessert before in fancy cafes or hotel lounges. Since it had cocoa powder on top then, I referred to a hot chocolate recipe to create this super delicious dessert made for adults.This is delicious with coffee prepared either from ground beans or instant coffee. Finally I found the perfect way to make this coffee ice cream from ground coffee, cold brew.Grind your coffee bean to coarse grind to make it easier for strain later.Total time above is not included the steeping and freezing time.

This is a simular recipe I made with mint chocolate chip ice cream that was so good. I was asked for a version with coffee ice cream, this was the result. I blended a coffee cream with chocolate chip ice cream for a extra creamy and light coffee layer. That is topped with a chocolate layer and whipped cream. For the garnish zi made a simple Chocolate Coffee Toffee Bark, which I posted in my profile.
