Ingredients

15 minutes
3 servings
  • 2brinjals
  • as neededMustard oil
  • 2 tspMustard sauce
  • 1 tspBlack cumin seeds
  • as neededDry red chilli
  • 2 tbsponion paste
  • 1 tspginger garlic paste
  • 1/2 tspTurmeric powder
  • to tasteSalt and sugar

    At first wash the brinjals properly and cut into pieces. Now marinate the brinjals with turmeric powder and salt.

  2. 2

    Now take a pan and heat some mustard oil. Fry the brinjals properly from both sides.

  3. 3

    Take another pan, heat some mustard oil. Add black cumin seeds and dry red chillis. After few seconds add ginger, garlic and onion paste one by one. Cook well until it's raw smell goes off. Add turmeric powder, salt and sugar to taste.

    Mix all the ingredients well. Now add little water and let it boil. Add the fried brinjals. When the gravy becomes little dry add mustard sauce over the gravy and mix it well. Before switch off the oven add raw mustard oil from the top.

    Finally the recipe is ready and serve with hot steamed rice.
