Ingredients

  • 1 cupRice
  • 1/2 cupUrad daal
  • 1/2 cupMoong daal
  • 1/4 cupChana daal
  • 1 tbspToor daal
  • 1 tbspMasoor daal
  • to tasteSalt
  • as neededOil
  • 1/4 tspCumin seeds

    In a bowl take rice wash it with water 3-4 times and soak it in water for 3-4 hours.

  2. 2

    In another bowl take chana daal,urad daal,moong daal,masoor daal,toor daal wash everything really well with water 3-4 times.

  3. 3

    Soak the lentils in enough water for 3-4 hours.

  4. 4

    Transfer the soaked lentils in blender jar and blend everything in the blender jar with minimum water.

  5. 5

    Ferment the batter overnight.Before preparing appe add some salt and cumin seeds in batter and mix it well.

  6. 6

    Heat up appe maker on low heat.

  7. 7

    Add a drop of oil in each mould of appe maker.Add spoonful of batter in each mould and little bit oil alng the edges.

  8. 8

    Fry appe for 4-5 minutes on one side.

    Flip the appe over and fry them from otherside well.When appe are fried well from both sides them take them out in a dish.

    Appe are all ready.You can serve them with cashew and peanut chutney.
