Jute Mallow (mrenda) with pumpkin leaves

Sort the mrenda and pumpkin leaves

Wash and cut the vegetables

In a sufuria, add water 1 cup and 1/4 tsp of baking soda... Let the water boil and then add the freshly cut vegetables...

Let it cook for about 15 mins..then drain the water if any

On a separate sufuria, put oil then add the onion... Let the onion cook until golden brown then add the boiled vegetables

Stir for it to mix well... Add salt and stir again... Let it cook for about 3 mins...

Add the 1/2 cup of milk.... Stir and let it cook for another 5 mins.... Serve with hot ugali!!!
