Mysore pak is an Indian sweet prepared in ghee that is popular in Southern India. It originated in the Indian state of Karnataka. It is made of generous amounts of ghee, sugsr, gram flour, and cardamom.

Mysore pak is an Indian sweet prepared in ghee that is popular in Southern India. It originated in the Indian state of Karnataka. It is made of generous amounts of ghee, sugsr, gram flour, and cardamom.
Steps

In a pan heat ghee and oil.

In a large kadai or wok add gram flour.

Roast it till colour starts change and a nice aroma comes.

In a thick bottom pan take sugar and water.

Keep boiling and stirring till the sugar attains one string consistency.

Add cardamom powder in sugar syrup.

Keep the flame on very low and add sugar syrup in roasted gram flour little by little.

Stir continuous to make sure there are no lumps formed.

Adding in batches and continuously stirring avoids from forming lumps.

Now add hot oil+ghee in batches.

Continuously stir till oil is absorbed completely.

Keep repeating to adding oil 4-5 times and stirring till the mixture starts to separate from pan.

Immediately, transfer the mixture to greased tray or a square cake pan.

Press lightly with spoon to spread mixture evenly in pan.

After 5 minutes cut into pieces as desired.

After 30 minutes separate the pieces.

Serve tasty and melt in mouth mysore pak.
