Ingredients

4-5 servings
  • For batter:
  • 1 cupgram flour
  • 1 cupwater
  • 1/2 tbspsalt
  • 1/4 tbspred chilli powder
  • 1 pinchturmeric powder
  • For vada:
  • 3boiled potatoes
  • 1 tbsprai
  • 8-10curry leaves
  • 4-5chopped cashewnuts
  • 1 tbspginger garlic paste
  • 2green chillies
  • 1/2 tbspsalt
  • 2 tbspoil
  • For garlic chutney:
  • 1 cupgroundnuts
  • 1/2 cupcoconut powder
  • 1/2 tbspsalt
  • 1/4 tbspred chilli powder
  • 5-6garlic cloves
  • 2 tbspoil
  • 1/2 tbspcoriander powder
  • For Stuffing-
  • 1onion
  • as required Mayonnaise
  • as required Tomato ketchup

Steps

  1. 1

    Firstly take one cup gram flour in a bowl. add half tbsp salt, 1/4 tbsp red chilli powder and pinch of turmeric powder in it. Now add water to make a thin batter. keep it aside for 15 mins.

    Take a pan add oil in a pan. now add rai in it. Roast it for 1 min. Now add chopped green chillies, ginger-garlic paste, curry leaves, chopped Cashew nuts in it.mix it well. now add salt in it and then add mashed potatoes.Mix properly and keep it aside for cooling.

    Take a pan.add oil in it now add garlic cloves. Let it cook till golden brown. Now add roasted groundnuts cook for about 2 min add salt in it.switch off the flame and add coconut powder in it. Mix well and let it cool.

    Grind the mixture after it gets cooled. Garlic chutney is ready.

    Now take potato mixture. Make round balls of it. Dip it in batter and fry it on medium flame till golden brown. Our vada is ready.

    Take pav.apply mayonnaise on the lower side of pav and then add onion slices..add some garlic chutney over it.now place vada on it.apply garlic chutney on top of vada.

  7. 7

    Vada PAV is ready.Garnish it with some chilli flakes
