Flatted rice or poha or chivda upma is simple, easy to make with less ingredients also. It's a delicious and healthy breakfast.

Clean and soak the chivda in adequate water. Drain the water and mix the turmeric powder and pav-bhaji masala to be coated with the soaked and dried chivda.

Heat the cooking oil. Add panch phutan and allow to crackle. Add curry leaves.

Add chopped onions and saute till rawness is gone. Now add chopped tomatoes, ginger and chilli. Saute till tomatoes are softened.

Add chopped boiled potatoes,mix and coat with the masala in the kadhai. Saute for a minute in medium flame.

Add the chivda with the masala in the kadhai and cook in light hand. Mix well with masala and cook for 2 minutes.
Serve the poha upma, garnishing with sev.
