Homemade Greek Gyro

Another recipe from my love of Greek cooking. My Son Jay, as a gift brought me a rotisserie, but just change the cooking method to the oven.
Serve with a pitta wrap, chips and salad. It sounds difficult, but honestly it’s so simple and probably quicker than walking to the local takeaway. #mycookbook
Homemade Greek Gyro

Mix all the ingredients with the lamb mince. Place on some Greaseproof paper and roll into a cylinder shape. Thread onto your spit and Wrap tightly in tin foil and put in the fridge overnight to firm up, or for at least 2 hours. If using the oven to cook, just cover with foil and once again leave to firm.

Connect your spit with the mixture on to the rotisserie and set timer to 40 mins, checking to make sure it doesn’t burn and is cooked through. With the oven method, place mixture into a loaf tin and put in a pre heated oven at 180 degrees for 40 mins or until cooked throughout.

Slice your kebab and assemble onto your pitta wrap with salad and chips, add some mint and yogurt and serve with salad.
