Ingredients

15minutes
2 servings
  • 1/2 cupbesan/gram flour
  • 2 tbspsooji/semolina/ rava (optional)
  • 1/4 cupghee
  • 1/4 cupjaggery
  • 1/4 tspdry ginger powder
  • 3 tspfinely chopped nuts like (almonds, pistachio, walnuts)
  • 1/2 cupwater (boiling water)

Steps

15minutes
  1. 1

    In a pan take ghee, besan, suji- if you are not using suji then add that 2 tbsp besan extra.

  2. 2

    Roast it on low flame for 10-12 minutes or until light brown in colour

  3. 3

    Add jaggery and dry ginger powder, and mix them all together

  4. 4

    Add boiling water gradually -make sure do not add much water otherwise halwa will turn out into porridge.

  5. 5

    Roast it till ghee started separating- add nuts and switch off the gas.

  6. 6

    Healthy guilt free and diabetes friendly halwa is ready to enjoy.
