Ingredients

30 mins
3-4 servings
  1. 1 cupsoaked yellow moong dal (4 to 5 hrs)
  2. 2 tbsp rice flour
  3. 2medium sized chopped onion
  4. 1/2 cupchopped coriander leaves
  5. 2green chopped
  6. 1 tspwhole jeera
  7. 1 teaspoonjeera powder
  8. 1 tspaamchur powder
  9. 1 tspcoriander powder
  10. 1 tspred chilli powder
  11. 1/2 tspbaking soda
  12. 1/4 tspturmeric powder
  13. 1/4 tsphing
  14. As per taste Salt
  15. As required Oil for deep frying

Cooking Instructions

    Make a smooth and thick paste of soaked moong dal add water if required.

    At the same time take oil in a kadhai and keep it on gas stove for heating

  3. 3

    In a mixing bowl add moong dal paste, rice flour, chopped onion coriander,green chilli, baking soda, turmeric powder, whole jeera, jeera powder, coriander powder,salt,red chilli powder,hing, aam chur powder.

    Now make small balls of the mixture and start deep frying it on medium flame.

    Stir it in between to avoid burning and fry it till it turns to golden.

    When it turns golden take it out in a bowl and fry remaining mixture like that.

    So your moong dal vada is ready to serve.

  8. 8

    Serve hot with green chutney.
