Doodh Pitha in Bihari style

On the occasion of Rakhi this is one of my favourite dessert

Steps

Boil milk on high and boil 1 cup water on another side, add little salt. Add rice flour and stir for 2-3 mins, set aside and make a dough. Roll and cut pieces. Set aside

Grate coconut and make a powder. To that add khoya, sugar, raisins and mix well.

Make puri shape with your hand to rice flour balls and take a little of the grated coconut filling and put it in the centre. Close all sides and make a ball and set aside. Do in batches

In the hot milk slowly add the rice flour balls and poach them for 10 mins. Take out and continue boiling the milk for 20 mins on slow flame.

Put back the balls again and cook for 5 mins. Set aside

Garnish with chopped almonds and Pistachios and enjoy hot
