Sarva Pindi Spicy rice flour pancake

Wash and soak chana dal for 30 minutes to 1 hour. Drain water out of it and take it in a bowl. Now add chopped onion, red chilli powder, chopped green chillies, ginger, garlic, sesame seeds, curry leaves, rice flour and salt to it. Mix everything well. With the help of water make a soft dough out of it. You will need a round 3/4 to 1 cup of water to make the dough. Divide the dough into 6 portions.

Now heat up a nonstick pan on low heat and add some oil in the centre of the pan. Now take one portion of the dough and put it in the centre of the pan. Spread the dough with the help of fingers. Make your hands wet in order to spread it nicely. Make holes in it. Cover and cook for 2 minutes.

Now add little bit of oil in each hole and again cover and cook it until there is a brown crust on the bottom of the the pancake. Cook it on medium to high heat.

Do not flip it as the top part will be cooked with the steam only. we have to cook it only on one side. On the bottom it will look like this.

Serve it hot as a snack with some spicy chutney.
