Steps

Wash and soak the white rice. (Use lukewarm water when in a hurry, soak for some hrs)

Cook the one cup of white rice and allow to cool. Mix together with the soaked rice, add onions and blend.

Add yeast and small amount of water if the batter is thick. Keep it in a warm place and allow to rise.

When the batter rises, add sugar (and potash when it taste sour). Place your masa pan on medium heat, pour oil in the pan.

When it's hot, pour the batter into the pan. Fry on low heat, flip to the other side and fry till golden brown.

Serve with veg soup, kuli-kuli, honey or stew.
