First cut the edges of the bread slices and cut them diagonally into triangle shape as shown in the image below.

Now boil the milk. Once the milk comes to boil, add chopped cashews, chopped almonds & chopped pistachios. Boil the milk to 1/4 th, till it gets rabri type consistency. Add a pinch of cardamom powder & mix it well.

Let it come to room temperature then refrigerate the rabri till 2 hours. Now just before serving only remove the rabri....after this, do the rest of the procedure just before serving..

Now we will prepare sugar syrup, for this in a bowl add 1/4th cup of sugar and 2/3rd cup of water. Boil it to form a light sugar syrup. No need to form any string for this sugar syrup as in other sweets we do. Keep it aside and leave it until it comes to the room temperature.

Now in a kadai heat some ghee and shallow fry the bread slices till golden brown. You can even deep-fry the bread slices but it would absorb more oil/ghee then.. Now dip a slice once in the sugar syrup and remove it immediately. Repeat the same with the rest of the slices and keep it aside. Remember, donot dip the bread slices when the syrup is hot, or else the bread would turn mushy and soft instead of crispy.

Now place the bread slices over a plate in which you want to serve. Now pour some cold rabri over it. Garnish it with some chopped pistachios and some kesar strands...and serve it cold...
