Ingredients

30minutes
4 servings
  1. 2 tbspGhee
  2. 250 gmKaddu/Pumpkin (Grated)
  3. 5 tbspSugar
  4. 200 gmKhoya (Crumbled)
  5. 1/4 tspCardamom Powder
  6. 5-6Almonds (Chopped)
  7. 3-4Cashew Nuts (Chopped)
  8. 4-5Pistachio (Chopped)
  9. 1 pinchOrange Food color
  10. 1 tbspKewda water

Steps

30minutes
  1. 1

    At ghee in a heavy bottom pan.

  2. 2

    Once the ghee is hot, fry the almonds, cashew nuts and pistachios until they are slightly browned.

  3. 3

    Remove and keep aside.

  4. 4

    In the same ghee, add the grated kaddu.

  5. 5

    Cook on medium flame for 10-12 minutes, stirring at regular intervals.

  6. 6

    Add khoya and cook for 10-12 minutes

  7. 7

    Add sugar and cook for another 10-12 minutes.

  8. 8

    Add orange food colour in kwda water and cook for few minutes.

  9. 9

    Keep stirring at regular intervals through out the process. cook till the halwa thikens and thick.

  10. 10

    Finally add the cardamom powder and fried nuts.

    Serve hot.
