Wash and soak chenna (chic peas) overnight

Wash chenna again, boil with required water and salt for 2_3 whistles

In a frying pan roast fennel seeds, cinnamon, clove, cardomon, jeera seeds, black pepper seeds and coconut for a minute

Turn off the flame and grind these ingredients to a fine powder

Grind onion, ginger, garlic and tomato to a paste

Pour oil in a pan. Add the fine powder and stir for a minute

Then add onion tomato paste and fry nicely till the oil separates
- 8
Add coriander powder, red chilli powder, chole masala, salt and turmeric powder

Then transfer this masala paste to the boiled chenna.

Add water if required

Then add kasoori methi leaves and cook it covered for five to ten minutes

Turn off the flame and garnish with coriander leaves

Ready to serve with maida poori, wheat poori or chapati
