My son and I both love besan ladoo. I add a little wheat flour to the besan, which gives the ladoo a slightly grainy texture and keeps it from sticking to your mouth.

Gather all the ingredients.

First, dry roast the wheat flour over low heat, stirring constantly. Remove it to a plate, then dry roast the chickpea flour over low heat until it turns light brown. Add about 1 cup (250 grams) of ghee and roast the flour mixture until it turns golden. When done, the besan will release ghee and your kitchen will be filled with its aroma. Add the finely chopped nuts. Now add the remaining ghee and mix in the cardamom powder. Let the mixture cool.

Once completely cool, sift in the powdered sugar and mix well. Shape the mixture into small or large balls, as you prefer.

This amount makes about 32 medium-sized ladoos. Garnish with sliced pistachios and serve your besan ladoos.
