Glutinous ball ricecooker - savoury snack

A twist of savoury Indonesian snack. This is NOT how we made it traditionally, but this is how I made it to save times 😜
Just put all in rice cooker and its done.
We usually have this cover with shreeded coconut so its more pretty (I just mixed this in with other ingredients in rice cooker). And delightfully eat this with peanut sauce 🥰. There are 2 recipe of peanut sauce here you can try.
We usually have this in the morning for our breakfast.
Note: Cup glass using cup from the rice cooker (160ml)

Ingredients

4-6 people
  • 2 cupglassglutinous rice
  • 1/2 cupglass thai jasmine rice
  • 1/2 cupglass coconut milk
  • 2 cupglass water
  • 1 tspxylitol/sugar
  • 1/4 tsphimalayan salt
  • 1/2 tspchicken knorr
  • 3-4 tbspcoconut shrreded

Steps

  1. 1

    Wash the glutinous rice till its clear. Using rice cooker, put all the ingredients together, mixed well and leave it for about 30-1hours.

  2. 2

    Then start the rice cooker using the normal “white rice” setting. When it bip, open n mixed it all around (you can do this in the middle of cooking too). Close again and leave it till finish

  3. 3

    You can eat it just like that, or make a ball. You can enjoy with peanut sauce or just like that with other food you have.

Whether it's a spoonful of sugar or a handful of cabe (chillies), it can only make your food (or live) more exciting. The little Indonesian girl in me reminisces about the spicy flavors of home. Dishes such as Nasi goreng and rendang, transport me 7000 miles back to my home in Jakarta.Arriving in UK, I felt lost. Finding foods that I missed could be quite a challenge.
