I often cooked stuffed chicken, but I really wanted to try to make beer can chicken while camping.

Rub the lemon inside and surface of the chicken to remove the smell of the chicken. When you take off the chicken from the beer can, please be careful not to burn yourself. Recipe by chi-bo-3

Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 2 kgWhole chicken
  2. 180 mlCanned beer (350 ml can)
  3. Spices
  4. 1Oregano (dried)
  5. 1Allspice
  6. 1Garlic powder
  7. 1Salt and pepper

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Prepare a stand for a beer can chicken. If you don't have one, don't worry about it.

  2. 2

Rub the spices onto the whole chicken. Stuff a potato in a whole where the head was attached, to seal it up.

  3. 3

Place the half-filled canned beer in the stand, and plunk the chicken over the beer can.

  4. 4

Cover with a dutch oven or a metal bucket, and steam-cook until the meat temperature inserted into the chicken reads 75-80℃.

  5. 5

When it reads 80℃, it's ready.

  6. 6

This time round, I wrapped the freshly cooked chicken with tortillas.
