Cut the daikon radish into 1-2 cm wide slices, cut each slice in half and bevel the edges. Parboil the daikon for about 10 minutes.

Pour boiling water over the atsu-age to remove excess oil. Cut into 1 cm wide pieces.

Cut the green beans into 2-3 equal pieces.

Add the ☆ ingredients to a pot. Add the daikon radish and atsuage and bring to a boil.

When the daikon radish is soft enough, add the green beans and simmer for about 2 minutes. Tip: Please refer to the "Helpful Hints."

Transfer to plates and serve.
