Cooking Instructions
- 1
Chop or break the chocolate into 5 mm pieces. Cut the butter into 5 mm pieces as well and add everything to a heatresistant container.
- 2
Microwave at 600 W for 1.5 minutes until everything is melted, and mix with a whisk.
- 3
In a separate heatresistant container, heat the cream at 600 W for 30 seconds.
- 4
Add the cream into the melted chocolate and butter mixture and mix well with a whisk.
- 5
Add the mixture into moulds with a spoon and lightly tap the mould against a surface to even out.
- 6
Put the mould in the refrigerator for 3 hours to allow the chocolates to set. (If they don't set very well in the refrigerator, transfer to the freezer.)
- 7
If you're using a silicon mould, you can push the chocolates out easily from the bottom.
- 8
Use a tea strainer to sift cocoa powder on top.
- 9
When storing the chocolates at home, I recommend keeping them in an airtight container.

I've made various types of chocolate for Valentines day over the years, but this simple chocolate truffle was the most well-received so this has become the standard for our house over the past few years.A bento lunch box with a depth of 2 to 3 cm is best. Since giving chocolates to friends for Valentine's Day has become a thing, I've found myself having to make more and more. It takes so long to chop it all up and then wash the chopping board.I decided to try and find a solution for that.-Don't let the heavy cream boil. If you have a microwave where you can set the temperature, then by all means use that as well.-The chocolate is likely to start melting from the warmth of your hands so try making them with chilled hands if you can stand the cold.-You can use whipped cream instead of heavy cream if you wish.
