Boil The White Peas
Start with boiling the white peas. You will have to soak the chickpeas in water overnight. Add them in a pressure cooker along with some water, salt, a pinch of baking soda and turmeric. Bring to 2 whistles and then let it boil on low flame for 15 minutes. - 2
Mash The Chickpeas And Add Add In The Spices
Once boiled, mash the chole with a spatula and transfer to a bowl. Do not separate the water from chole before mashing. Transfer the chole in a large bowl and add in chopped onions and tomatoes along with chaat masala, salt, red chilli powder and lemon juice. - 3
Toast The Kulchas
Toast kulchas on a hot tawa with some butter and your chole kulche are ready to serve!
