Easy! Open Apple Pie Bites

I thought that keeping the pies open would decrease the amount of calories, be cheaper, and be cute, so I tried it out and it was a huge success.
Adjust the amount of sugar depending on the apple.
If you fill the crusts with too many apples pieces, the edges won't rise, so only use a moderate amount and make sure to leave the edges free. Recipe by Burauni-0529
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Thaw the frozen pie crust at room temperature. Preheat the oven to 210°C.
- 2
Cut the small apple into 8 wedges. Cut 3 of the wedges into small pieces about 5 mm on each side. Cut the remaining wedges into pieces about 2 cm on each side. The sizes of these cuts are only guidelines, so slice your apples up however you'd like.
- 3
Place the ◎ ingredients into a pot and turn the heat to low. The apples will release their juices, so cook them only with that. Cook on low heat until the liquid evaporates.
- 4
Divide the pie sheet into 8 pieces. Spread the edges of the crust with egg yolk. You can also optionally sprinkle granulated sugar onto the areas with egg yolk.
- 5
Place the apples on the pie crusts for the filling. Make sure you balance the amount of large and finely cut pieces.
- 6
Bake for 8-9 minutes at 210°C and then lower the temperature to 180°C and bake for another 8-9 minutes. You could also bake at 200°C for 15 minutes.
- 7
The edges are flaky. These pie bites look cute too!
- 8
Some people make this with the apple peels on, so I tried it too! The faint pink color of the peel looks cute.
- 9
Step 4: If the pie crust doesn't come with holes, poke some holes into the crust with a fork.

This apple pie was invented as a way to use up apples that were about to go bad!The filling tastes better if you mound it generously in the center of the pies.Adjust the amount of sugar used depending on how sweet the apple you're using is.If the egg yolk is too thick, add a little water to thin it out. Don't add too much water! For 4 pies; about 10 x 5 cm [3.9 x 2.0 in] each. Recipe by Banyangarden cookpad.japan -

Caramelized apple is really tasty, so I used it to make apple pies. When making the caramelized apple, evaporating the moisture and letting it chill well will make the pastry easier to handle. For 4 pies. Recipe by Ayuna cookpad.japan -

I came up with this idea when I was making a sugared butter bread. I could shorten the time to make the filling and enjoy the pie easily. I wanted to make this open pie for a long time so when I saw the pie baked nicely, I was impressed.Note: When you sprinkle granulated sugar on the pie, sprinkle it evenly just on the apples. Try not to sprinkle sugar on the puff pastry, if possible. For 2 pies. Recipe by Banyangarden cookpad.japan -
Tiny Apple Pies Tiny Apple Pies
I just thought I would make this recipe so when a lot of people come to a party, there's enough pie to go around. When using the frozen puff pastry for steps 5 - 7, only take 1 sheet of pastry out of the fridge at a time. If they become soft they will be too hard to cut. For step 8, keep the rest of the frozen puff pastry in the freezer and take it out while the previous batch is still baking. Repeat this until all of the pastry has been used.If you split your apple chunks into 4 parts, you will have the perfect amount for each batch of pies. Recipe by Dockinoko cookpad.japan
