Mathri is a traditional Indian style crispy cracker generally prepared and feasted upon during festivals like Holi , Diwali etc.. Make it in a circular or triangle shape per your cooking skills and preference and enjoy it with tea , coffee or with your favorite chutney. We always make wheat flour mathri but for this Holi I try this peanut flavor mathri . This is crispy , melt in mouth and nutty in flavor 😋. Do try this you will surely love it.

Steps

  1. 1

Mix all dry ingredients in a big bowl.
Add ghee and mix everything well and rub the fat evenly in the flour with your fingertips. The whole mixture should resemble breadcrumbs. The more you do this, the better texture the mathris will have. Now make a tight dough by adding water little by little.
Cover and keep it aside for 20 minutes.
