Put the flour in a bowl and stir while pouring in the milk in several batches. Be careful not to leave any lumps.

Heat the frying pan over high heat and melt the butter. Once the butter is melted, add the mixture from Step 1 and simmer.

Stir well while simmering over medium heat. It should look like this in 2-3 minutes.

Once the sauce comes to a boil, season with consommé granules, salt & pepper, and a bouillon cube (optional) to taste. Once the consommé granules and the bouillon cube have dissolved and are incorporated into the sauce, it is ready. This sauce is delicious with pasta as well.
