Make a paste from green chilli, coriander leaves, tomato and fried onions.

Wash mutton pieces well and add curd in it.

Add ginger garlic paste, chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder and salt.

Keep marinade for 2 hours.

Heat oil in a pressure cooker.

Add the marinated mutton, tomato paste and fry on high heat for 4-5 minutes, then add 1 cup of water and pressure cook until mutton is tender.

Heat ghee in a pan and put whole garam masalas.

Add washed rice and fry for a minute.

Add water and salt and cook the rice until it is 90% cooked.

Transfer the cooked mutton in a heavy bottom pan.

Add the rice and layer it over the mutton evenly.

Now again make layers of cooked mutton and rice.

Sprinkle saffron soaked in milk, golden brown frief onion and coriander leaves on top.

Cover the pan tightly with a lid, place the pan on a very slow heat for 10-15 minutes.

Serve hot mutton biryani with salad.
