Easy Beef Rice Bowl

I wanted to eat a beef rice bowl (gyudon). I wanted to recreate the flavor of the dishes served in a certain chain of beef rice bowl restaurants and top it with red pickled ginger, but I didn't have any so I used new harvest ginger pickled in sweet vinegar.

Ingredients

  1. 50 gramsBeef (thinly sliced)
  2. 1Yakiniku sauce
  3. 1bowlful Plain cooked rice
  4. 1 tspWhite sesame seeds
  5. 1Spring ginger pickled in sweet vinegar (or red pickled ginger)

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Pan-fry the beef and combine with the yakiniku sauce.

  2. 2

    Mix white sesame seeds into the rice.

  3. 3

    Put half of the rice into a bowl and top with some of the beef. Add the rest of the rice, and top with the rest of the beef.

  4. 4

    Thinly slice the red pickled ginger or pickled new harvest ginger and place on top of the beef rice bowl.
