Easy Maitake and Beef Rice Bowl

cookpad.japan @cookpad_jp
It's a little on the sweet side.
The beef, onions and maitaken mushrooms absorb the sauce well.
The flavor is better absorbed if you let it cool once and then reheat it before serving!
I add onions and maitake, but you could add thinly sliced burdock roots. Recipe by Mikko*mikko

Pork and Shiitake Rice Bowl
I want to eat gyudon (Japanese beef Bowl), however I only have pork on the fridge. So I make this recipe with Japanese style with some modified ingredients.

Tender Beef Rice Bowl
My child is getting old for baby food, but I always keep forgetting to set a portion aside for him. I don't want to be bothered to make another dish for him either.I started cooking with a pressure cooker to simplify cooking. This dish is healthy as it's not fried and the meat is tender.Prepare steamed rice and a filling miso soup as you wait.If using cheap meat, season the beef with sake to tenderize and remove the odor.I seasoned the dish lightly and the meat is tender enough to handle with chopsticks. You can serve this to little children as it is. Separate your children's portion before adding the ginger. Recipe by Gasukun

Easy Beef Rice Bowl (Gyudon)
You can make gyudon any time as long as you have some onions and beef, so it's a easy to make life saver. I've been making this way for a long time. You can use a cheap cut of beef, but choose a type that has plenty of fat and is thinly sliced for the best flavor. Please adjust the amount of sugar and soy sauce to your liking. For 4 generous servings. Recipe by Kyoku

Easy Beef Rice Bowl
I wanted to eat a beef rice bowl (gyudon). I wanted to recreate the flavor of the dishes served in a certain chain of beef rice bowl restaurants and top it with red pickled ginger, but I didn't have any so I used new harvest ginger pickled in sweet vinegar. Recipe by Shiroi grape

Our Family's Easy and Quick Beef Rice Bowl
I wanted to make homemade delicious beef rice bowls for my family. To evaporate the alcohol content from sake, and not to overcook the beef. Recipe by Chibitokuma

Hearty Pork and Burdock Rice Bowl
I love rice bowl dishes. I love pork. So, I came up with my own version of a rice bowl that combines the two.Just cut, stir-fry, and simmer. If you coat it all with some egg, the taste will be milder. So it's rather salty itself!!If you don't use any eggs, adjust the amount of soy sauce.Put it on rice for a no-fail dish. Recipe by Mashu mama

Our Family's Delicious Gyodon Beef Rice Bowl
This started out with a recipe for inarizushi tofu skins.I've been able to increase my repertoire of recipes using our family's Golden Ratio of ingredients...This recipe is really easy, so I don't have any tips in particular. Any cut of beef is fine as long as it's thinly sliced. If you add shirataki for additional volume it'll be even tastier! For 4-5 servings. Recipe by Naomoka

Easy Ground Meat and Burdock Root Rice Bowl
I wanted to cook rice with chicken breast and burdock root, but the chicken was sold out... so I bought ground pork instead. I didn't want to cook the pork in a rice cooker, so I made a donburi (rice bowl) instead....and it was surprisingly delicious. I think you can make this with ground chicken, ground beef/pork mix, or anything you like .If you can successfully prepare the burdock root, then even a complete beginner can easily make this; I made all of the flavoring measurements into tablespoons. . For those of you that are not good at cutting burdock root into long, thin strips, cut them in small diagonal strips on top of a cutting board . I also hate cutting them into long, thin strips, so that is what I do lol. For 2 people. Recipe by Mine neko

Beef Steak Rice Bowl
I wanted to eat a hearty rice bowl once in a while, so I created this recipe. When you have too much oil in the pan, wipe it up with paper towels before adding the sauce. It's better to make a little bit more sauce than needed. It's also delicious to add a small amount of grated garlic in the sauce. Recipe by Heart restaurant

Mongolian Beef Rice Bowl
I love Mongolian beef, so I've been trying to find an easy recipe that taste like I like. This one is pretty close. But it seems to be a fine line between the proper flavor, and too salty. Using broth to replace some of the salty soy sauce, balances the salty and flavor out, I think.

Stir Fried Beef and Vegetable Rice Bowl
I ordered this once at a restaurant for lunch and it was pretty good, so I tried making it myself. In our house we like very light flavors, so the sauce we pour on the rice is just 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 teaspoon of sugar plus salt and pepper. If you prefer it more concentrated, increase the amount of soy sauce and sugar.I've never use measuring spoons, so when I measure, the flavor is slightly different each time. Recipe by Monshan0227

Sweet and Spicy Mushroom and Pork Rice Bowl
Mushrooms and meat go well together, so I cooked pork and mushrooms this time. Dishes cooked with only Japanese seasonings might seem bland, so I added gochujang to spice it up.Serve with vegetables of your liking. Use about 300 g of mushrooms in total. You can put only shimeji mushrooms if you like. Maitake mushrooms would be delicious too, so you can put them instead. Recipe by Raby

Easy Miso-Katsu Rice Bowl
I love red miso! I grew up on eating this. The sauce may be sweet, so adjust to your preference. It's best to thin the sauce with good quality sake (although cooking sake is fine) or dilute with dashi stock or water. I recommend the sauce to be thick. The flavor may be intense to serve to children.Make sure to top with leeks! Recipe by Yokoimiho

Burdock & Pork Miso Rice Bowl
My hometown has a local speciality called miso-sukiyaki rice bowl. I used pork in this recipe as it is easier to make than with beef.Miso goes better with the sweetness of sugar than with mirin. After adding miso, take care not to over-cook so that the miso flavor remains. I recommend blending half the miso with dark red miso. Recipe by Harukomachi

Stew Beef and Rice Bowl
A delicious meal with with a dijon mustard gravy. So very delicious!!!

Easy and Satisfying Kansai-style Sukiyaki-don Rice Bowl
My family's favorite dish is Kansai-style sukiyaki and I wanted to make it easily. With this simplified version over rice, I have less washing to do afterward. I've made this often. The dish is flavored strongly, so you can transform cheap beef into a delicious dish! You could use pork if you prefer!! (Sliced pork belly is recommended).I wanted to make this dish easily so I just used beef and Japanese leek, but add your favorite ingredients such as tofu, shirataki noodles, or fu wheat gluten. Recipe by Reirazuka

Easy Pork Rice Bowl
Pork is cheap and easy to cook with. This is my family's favorite dish. You can use any cuts of pork. I tend to use pork trimmings. Frying the onion gently will make a difference and add sweetness and richness to the dish. Prep the egg in any way you like.I used to use just soft poached egg, but raw egg was not bad either. Recipe by Kakemama

Quick and Easy Ground Pork Rice Bowl
My mother used to make this a lot, and the other day when I visited my childhood home my father was making it. So I recalled the recipe and made it too.If you turn the heat off as soon as you add the eggs, it will be soft-set and tastier. If you have leftovers, try it on toast. It's pretty great that way too. For 4 servings. Recipe by Natuko

Speedy Beef Rice Bowl
This is one of the easy dishes I like to cook when I get busy. With this recipe, you can make gyuudon in no time.Since it's easy to make, there aren't hints to share. Recipe by Kurohyou oyuki

Beef, Egg, and Onion Rice Bowl
When I was a child, I used to eat leftover sukiyaki mixed with rice, like fried rice. It was so delicious that I wanted to recreate that flavor easily. When you make the poached egg, by creating a vortex in the water by stirring it with chopsticks, the white will wrap itself around the yolk. If the white spreads out, flip it over the yolk with a fork. Use low heat, and don't let the water boil. For 2 servings. Recipe by FarmersK

Refreshing Beef Steak Rice Bowl
I made this because the slice of meat that I received was for only one person. You can divide a thick slice of meat meant for one person into 2 and there will be enough, however I wanted to eat plenty until my stomach was full. The oil from the meat contains lots of flavour so please don't wipe it away.Since this slice of meat is only for one person and you're using it for two people, I think it really shouldn't make that much oil. Recipe by Tomochi

Pork and Onion Rice Bowl
It's super delicious. This recipe became popular on October 23, 2010.The origin of this recipeI noted it down with the available ingredients.

Translated from Cookpad Japan

Sukiyaki Rice Bowl
For lunch! Simple and delicious sukiyaki rice bowl. Make it with cheap cuts of meat.Add the meat once the other ingredients are about 60% cooked through, so that it won't be overcooked. The Japanese leek will also get mushy if overcooked, so add it in last and just let it simmer briefly. The wheat gluten and shirataki noodles will soak up the sauce. Recipe by Cooking S Papa

Cantonese Style Beef Rice Bowl
Here is a relatively easy and tasty dish. A good weekday dinner.Just watch the salt levels, it can overwhelm if you are not careful. If you don't have dark soy sauce, just leave it out. If you don't have sesame oil, just leave it out.I had regular soy sauce, oyster sauce, but used low sodium chicken broth.I added no salt to the beef.

Miso Clam Rice Bowl
I made this to commemorate a day of clam hunting. This is a "Fukagawa-don," where clams and Japanese leek are simmered in a rather rich miso sauce and poured over rice. I added some soy sauce and mirin to the sauce to make it go well with rice. After adding the clams, and especially after dissolving in the miso, don't cook for too long. Recipe by Pukuttopukumaru

Our Family's Delicious Beef Rice Bowl
I've bought 10 cookbooks just to perfect my beef bowl recipe. This recipe really is a labor of love. This tastes better if you use wine as your cooking alcohol. Red or white or really cheap, they all work. You can adjust the amounts of the other ingredients to your taste. If you're using mentsuyu noodle sauce for this, use a 3x concentrate type. Please taste and adjust as you go along. For 3 to 4 servings. Recipe by kenken mama
