Ingredients

1 hr 40 min
20 servings
  1. Vanilla sponge cake
  2. 8large eggs
  3. 1 cupsugar (200 grams)
  4. 1 teaspoonvanilla extract (5 ml)
  5. 2 cupsall-purpose flour (240 grams)
  6. Three milks mixture
  7. 4 1/4 cupswhole milk (1 liter)
  8. 1 cansweetened condensed milk
  9. 1 canevaporated milk
  10. 1 stickcinnamon

Cooking Instructions

1 hr 40 min
  1. 1

First, beat the egg whites with the sugar until stiff peaks form.

  2. 2

    Once beaten, set aside.

  3. 3

Now beat the egg yolks with a little sugar and the vanilla extract.

  4. 4

Once beaten, gently fold the beaten egg whites into the yolks to keep the mixture airy.

  5. 5

Gradually sift in the flour and fold it in gently.

  6. 6

Once everything is combined, pour the batter into a buttered and floured baking dish.

  7. 7

    Bake at 350°F (180°C) for 30 to 40 minutes.

  8. 8

Now, make the milk mixture: In a saucepan, combine the whole milk, sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and cinnamon stick.

  9. 9

Bring to a boil, watching carefully so it doesn't overflow.

  10. 10

Once the cake is done baking, remove it from the oven and let it cool.

  11. 11

Cut the cake to shape as desired.

  12. 12

Slice the cake in half and pour the milk mixture over it.

  13. 13

    For decoration, add whipped cream.

  14. 14

You can also add your favorite fruit; I used strawberries.

  15. 15

Put the two halves together, continue decorating, and it's ready to serve.
