Steps

Dry roast dessicated coconut in a heavy bottomed wok for 1-2 minutes on low flame. Remove it in a plate.

Heat milk. When it comes to boiling point add milk powder and cocoa powder in batches to avoid formation of lumps. Keep stirring continuously to avoid burning.

Add dessicated coconut powder and keep on stirring on low flame. Add sugar and cook for 5 minutes till sugar is absorbed in the mixture. Keep on stirring continuously on low flame till the mixture becomes lumpy.

Add chopped pistachio and mix. Switch off the flame. Allow the mixture to come to room temperature.

Now make modaks in greased mould. I have prepared 5 modaks with this mixture.

Demould it and transfer it in a plate.

Offer Modaks to Lord Ganesha for Bhog.
