Quick & easy Chicken Pulao

This is my weekday dish. When I am too much busy with work and don’t have time to decide what to cook. I take it out chicken, cut onion and tomatoes and grab ginger garlic e and spices; soak rice and make it. The best part of this pulao is I do not need to wash a lot of dishes. In one pot, this dish gets ready to serve and eat. I always serve papad with pulao. No one eats but I love it. It reminds my grind father, he used to eat papad with pulao and shorba .

Take a pot and pour oil. Make it hot and add all dry condiments (2 cloves, 2-3 peppercorn, pinch zeera, 1 bay leaf, 1 cinnamon stock) and bring it crackled. Then add thin slices of onions. Stir it with turner or spatula and make it soft not too brown. Then add slices of tomatoes.

Fry it while stirring. Add spices; haldi, red chili powder, cumin powder and zeera powder with salt. Mix it well and add potatoes. Fry it for 2-3 mons on high flame. Add chicken and potatoes.

Add chili to spice up the taste. And fry all-together. Pour water for rice. I poured 3..5 cups of water, mix it and cover to boil.

Once it started boiling, add soaked rice and make the flame high. Wait for the water to dry by itself. Don’t put spoon or stirring required at that moment. Once it dries, sprinkle garam masala on the top.

Cover it and turn the flame slow. Wait for 10 mins at least. Uncover it when you think the steam has made inside. Take a spatula, try to take big one. Stir it in crosswise. If you do from centre, your rice will break. So be careful.

Dish out your pulao in a serving platter and enjoy with khata salan, salad and papad.
