Ingredients

  • 25- betel leaves
  • 1/2 tsp- Lime
  • 1- areca nut (finely chopped)
  • 4- cloves
  • 4- cardamom
  • 1 tbsp- fennel seeds
  • 1/2 tbsp- roasted coriander
  • 1 tbsp- rose petal jam
  • 1/4 tsp- menthol
  • as per taste Small piece - kath (catechu)

Steps

  1. 1

    Wash and dry the betel leaves. Remove the stem and cut it in small pieces.

  2. 2

    Dry roast the areca nuts, cloves, cardamom, fennel seeds on medium flame till it becomes aromatic.

  3. 3

    Switch off the gas. Let it cool down.

  4. 4

    Add chopped areca nut, cloves, cardamom, fennel seeds,coriander seeds, chopped betel leaves menthol, lime, kath, gulkand in the grinder.

  5. 5

    Grind all together to make a coarse paste. Remove it into mixing bowl.

  6. 6

    Mix everything well. Our tambul is ready.
