In a vessel boil water. Add salt and oil. Next add the soaked rice. Cook till rice is done. Keep aside. You can keep it in fridge so that rice grains stabilise and take shape.

Next take a kadhai, heat it with oil. Splutter cumin seeds. Add chopped fresh green chillies, broken cashewnuts and curry leaves. As cashews turn brownish, add the precooked rice into the tadka.

Add little salt if required. Mix all well and gently.
It's ready... serve hot with dal fry...it tastes superb
