VEGETABLE UPMA
Upma is a traditional South Indian breakfast delicacy which is famous across India and prepared in various ways.
Upma is prepared from semolina. Various seasoning and vegetables are added as per choice.
This traditional and flavourful South Indian breakfast can be prepared easily and quickly and of course healthy too.

VEGETABLE UPMA
Upma is a traditional South Indian breakfast delicacy which is famous across India and prepared in various ways.
Upma is prepared from semolina. Various seasoning and vegetables are added as per choice.
This traditional and flavourful South Indian breakfast can be prepared easily and quickly and of course healthy too.
Steps

Heat oil and add cumin and mustard seeds along with udad dal and let it splutter.

Once splutters, add curry leaves, green chillies and vegetables and sauté for few seconds on a high flame.

Then add a little water and let the vegetables cook.

After few seconds, vegetables turns tender, turn the flame on low and add cashew nuts, kismis, masala e magic and mix well, sauté for a while.

Then add semolina, mix and saute for a while.

Then add 3 to 3.5 cup of water, salt while stirring continuously (1 : 3.5 ratio).

Once it mixes well, let it cook on low flame till all water is evaporated and upma is cooked properly.

Lastly add 1 tbsp of ghee, mix and turn off the heat.

Serve hot.
